Harare International School (HIS) recognizes technology as an essential tool which supports and enhances the schools learning environment. A variety of technology is readily available to all students and teachers across the campus to create an environment which allows our community to inspire curiosity, embrace challenge, nurture personal growth n, critical thinking, problem solving, and communication

HIS Hardware

  • Every teacher is provided with a laptop and each classroom is equipped with:
    • highspeed, wireless internet,
    • a projector & Apple TV
  • There are two (2) iMac labs with 22 iMacs each and an additional 5 iMacs in the Media Center for individual work.
  • The elementary school has a combination iPads (EC1 to Gr 2) and Chromebooks (Gr 3, 4 & 5) available in mobile carts.
  • The Gr 6, 7 & 8 students each have a school owned Chromebook.
  • The Gr 9, 10, 11 &12 students have  a school owned MacBook laptop.
  • All staff, teachers and secondary school students have access to network printers.

Students and teachers are encouraged, and supported, to use technology as a tool to contribute to and enhance their teaching and learning.

The Technology Integration Specialist provides guidance and support for teachers, students, and parents.
