Come and Experience the HIS Way at Our Upcoming Open Day

Parents and children arrive at the HIS campus.

Parents and guardians of prospective Harare International School students are invited to our upcoming open day. See details below.

Open days are a great way to see the campus, meet the teachers and have your children meet some of our students - who will show them around the school.

We understand that the decision to move a child to a new school rarely comes without a significant amount of weight.

Parents aren’t just looking for impressive buildings; they are looking for reassurance that their child will be seen, challenged, and prepared for a world that feels increasingly unpredictable.

If you are considering Harare International School for your child, these are likely the questions and concerns at the forefront of your mind.

Will my child be academically prepared for the world’s best universities?

The primary worry for many parents, especially in the secondary years, is competitive edge. You want to know that the curriculum isn't just "broad," but rigorous enough to open doors at top-tier regional institutions.

At our open days, we address this directly by discussing our International Baccalaureate (IB) results and the specific pathways our graduates take.

How will my child fit into a new social environment?

Whether you are moving from another country or another school in Zimbabwe, the fear of your child being "the new kid" is real.

Parents worry about social isolation or a lack of community. During the tour, you’ll see the HIS culture in practice; a community that is intentionally diverse and inclusive, designed to help students from all backgrounds find their footing quickly.

Is the investment worth the outcome?

International education is a significant financial and emotional commitment. Parents often wonder if the "innovation" and "facilities" translate into tangible skills.

By visiting our campus and meeting our teachers, you can evaluate for yourself how we move beyond the buzzwords to teach critical thinking, digital literacy, and problem-solving; skills that are non-negotiable in the modern workforce.

Will my child receive individual attention?

No parent wants their child to become just another number in a crowded classroom. A major concern we hear from parents is whether teachers will recognize a child’s specific strengths or notice when they are struggling.

HIS open days allow you to speak with our leadership team about class sizes, student-to-teacher ratios, and our dedicated approach to pastoral care and student support.

Evaluate the fit for your family

The best way to quiet the "what-ifs" is to see the environment for yourself. Observe the interactions, walk the grounds, and ask the difficult questions.
