A simple act - A big impact!
Our students don’t just learn about global challenges, they take action. Grade 11 students Zoe and Isabella are making a profound impact through their Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) project, ensuring that girls in Zimbabwe can stay in school without disruption due to period poverty. Watch the video here.
Addressing a Critical Issue
In Zimbabwe, a staggering 72% of schoolgirls miss classes every month due to the unaffordability of sanitary products. The consequences are far-reaching, leading to learning gaps, decreased confidence, and reduced opportunities for young girls. Zoe and Isabella were deeply moved by this reality and set out on a mission to change it.
Taking Action: 120 Lives Changed
Through their CAS initiative, Zoe and Isabella have successfully provided reusable sanitary pad packs to 120 girls in Juru, ensuring they can manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence. These eco-friendly, long-lasting pads are a game-changer, allowing the girls to continue their education without unnecessary interruptions.
CAS: Learning Through Service
As part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, CAS encourages students to engage with real-world issues, think critically, and drive meaningful change. Through their project, Zoe and Isabella have developed leadership, problem-solving, and advocacy skills—while making a tangible difference in their community.
