Harare International School admits students from the international community in Zimbabwe (overseas students). It also offers a limited number of places to local students (i.e. permanent residents or Zimbabwe citizens sponsored by local companies) provided that such students have either come from or plan to go into an international education environment.
The School admits students regardless of religion, ethnic or national origin, gender, and sexual orientation to all the rights and privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
The School does not discriminate on the basis of religion, ethnic, or national origin, gender, and sexual orientation in administration of its admission policies, educational policies loan programs and athletic or other school-administered programs.
